Accessibility

Sitellight Outdoor Lighting and Audio wants every visitor to be able to use this website, including people who rely on a screen reader, keyboard, magnification or reduced motion. The site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What is in place

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link is the first stop on each page and the current focus is always visible.
  • Text meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio on both the dark and the white sections of the site.
  • Photographs carry descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Headings follow a logical order and every page has one main heading.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and errors are announced to screen readers.
  • The before-and-after comparisons are standard slider controls that work with a keyboard.
  • Animation, including the homepage photo slideshow, stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • The site works at 200% zoom and on phone-sized screens without sideways scrolling.

How we check

Pages are tested with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse) at desktop and phone widths, and by hand with a keyboard and the VoiceOver screen reader. The most recent full check was in September 2026. New pages and blog posts are checked before they are published.

Known limitations

Some older blog posts carried over from the previous website may have images with generic descriptions. We are working through them and will correct any you point out.
